On our way home from seeing Wicked. It was utterly incredible and the cast truly deserved the standing ovation they got! I was certainly clapping and crying and singing along…
Half an hour ‘til we leave to go see Wicked! I’m so excited and I’m wearing my favourite dress of the moment (thank you Ted Baker - I approve!)
I’m also really really happy to be home, it feels good to have a break from uni life :’)
Things people with Social Anxiety do
•go to the bathroom to escape
•feel very uncomfortable without a phone or some other crutch
•dwell on a small awkward moment for much longer than necessary
•never go to any social event without a person that makes you feel comfortable
•follow said person way too much
•worry about the person beginning to find you obnoxious
•faking an illness to get out of a social event
•Dont buy something necessary because the cashier is intimidating.
This has been such a good end to the week! Travelling home later seemed to take no time at all. It was really sunny and I had a peanut butter caramel brownie from the lovely lady who comes to the Campus Market… And I even managed to half a decent conversation with a third year Economics student about his dissertation. He’s quite lovely actually! He added me on Facebook and messaged me to let me know he had gotten home safely rather than ending up in Edinburgh! When I got home, my mum had put a friend’s interview on the Chrissy B Show to record and I’m so ridiculously proud of him! He’s done so much fundraising for Comic Relief through his YouTube channel (MikeReliefTV) and when we were at school I helped him out with some little things like ‘Guess How Many Balloons Are In The Car’ and he got the chance to volunteer in Ghana and hearing him talk about that was brilliant! Now I’m just sat in bed talking to this boy from the coach about this year’s Summer Ball. I’m too excited for tomorrow to be able to sleep!
You know that it is going to be a good weekend when these two albums are waiting for you when you arrive home.
This means I now have all of Arcade Fire’s albums on vinyl which makes me insanely happy.
When you do something really stupid in front of a cute guy and you know you’ve just ruined all the chances you’ve never had.
there’s something really interesting in this passage that I wanted to point out
Trelawney assumes that Harry was born in midwinter because of his “dark hair” and “mean stature” and “tragic losses so young in life”
Tom Riddle was born in midwinter, is describe in CoS as resembling Harry, and his mother died right after his birth
Harry has a piece of Voldemort’s soul in him
that’s why Trelawney made that assumption
